Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 2011

Plans are in the works to march in the second largest parade on the east coast, Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade. This will most likely be a three day event. The core team went over some idea's Tuesday evening and now we need YOUR input and ideas!! Hotels are already booking rooms fast so we need to get a head count on those who are serious about going. The band will have a fundraiser to subsidize some of the costs, and we need all your help to support the band, whether you are going or not going.

There will be a meeting held about Savannah on MAY 6th at 6:00 at the AOH Hall on Main Street (parking available across the street in funeral home parking lot). We will have two folks speaking about fund raising ideas/methods, and I am also going to see if I can get a couple of the BC Pipers to come in and talk to us since they have been there and can answer some questions. We need a headcount also to help up on group fees for rooms, amtrack, etc.

Deposit Lumberjack Parade

Looks like we will be marching in the Deposit Lumberjack Parade to be held July 17. A bus will pick you up at the Oakdale Mall at 2:00PM, and give you ample time to have a few beers and enjoy the competition before you march in the parade. This is being chaired by Teri Goodison and Danielle Baker, Cheeser will arrange for the chariot. Please give us a RSVP if you are interested in participating in this parade. You can check out our pictures from past Lumberjack parades via our website. You can also contact Teri at terriekg@yahoo.com
